ANCHOR UPDATE

April at home was something new for us all, but by and large, our ANCHOR athletes thrived.

We continued with our signature classes - like the daily WOD, booty flow & RIDE.

We added new classes, like Barre/Blend, Blissful Hips & Cardio Party.

We raised money for Sandgate Women’s Shelter.

We even launched a 10-day PUMP SESH challenge!

In April, 90 ANCHOR athletes logged over 1300 workouts at home.

In May, we will continue to show up, work hard and stay positive for one another. A portion of our membership proceeds with be donated to the Georgina Food Pantry.

We’ll also be launching a 10x10 BOOTY-SESH. 10 minutes of booty work for 10 days. The only equipment you’ll need is a resistance band. I looked online and this 5 pack of resistance bands is definitely the best value. Although I think these ones are much cuter colours.

In terms of re-opening… it seems like it might be more of a “re-build.” We know ANCHOR athletes are enjoying access to a variety of classes and we want to support that moving forward. Things may look different, but we’re keen to make them better than ever.

Finally, on a personal note - I need to shower the ANCHOR staff with praise. They have shown up in a massive way for our community and for me. I had worked really hard to put the things in place at ANCHOR to take a mat leave for when Audra was born. With the lockdown I had to do a complete 180 and was working 40h+, sleep deprived, healing and just not in the best mental state. It hasn’t been easy. But it’s the reality of the situation and I am so grateful to them for supporting me, supporting us and building this online community to get us through.
